Common Rules
The following rules apply to the JeriCraft Minecraft and Discord servers:
| Rule | Description |
|---|---|
| No Offensive Language or Content | Avoid offensive/inappropriate language, usernames, skins, profile pictures, or messages in-game or on Discord. |
| No Trolling or Harassment | Do not troll, harass, or intentionally upset others in any platform. |
| No Impersonation | Do not impersonate players, staff, or community brands (including Discord server names or bot identities). |
| No Scamming or Exploiting | Be honest in interactions; avoid exploiting bugs, begging for in-game items, or misusing Discord giveaways. |
| No Lavacasting | Lavacasting (using lava and water to create massive stone/obsidian structures) is prohibited. It causes unfair advantages, server lag, and disrupts gameplay. |
| Keep Personal Information Private | Do not share sensitive information. |
| No Controversial Topics | Avoid discussing drama, politics, or religion in public chats or Discord channels. |
| No Spamming or Advertising | Do not disrupt conversations with irrelevant messages, @mentions, ads, or Discord invite links. |
| Respect Staff Instructions | Follow staff instructions in-game, on Discord, or during events. |
| No Bypassing Filters | Do not circumvent chat filters in-game or on Discord. |
| Respect Player Boundaries | Do not encroach on others’ territory in-game or invade privacy via DMs or Discord. |
| No Malicious Activities | Do not distribute malware or share harmful links on any platform. |
| No Disrupting Server Performance | Avoid actions that cause performance issues, such as lag-inducing exploits. |
| No Game Mechanics Abuse | Play as intended; avoid exploiting glitches or misusing Discord bots/features. |
| No NSFW Content | Do not post explicit material, including text, images, or links. |
| Use Appropriate Discord Channels | Keep conversations relevant to channel purposes (e.g., no off-topic discussions in #introductions). |
| Discord Voice Chat Etiquette | Avoid loud noises, background music, or mic spam in voice channels. |
| Respect @mentions | Do not abuse @everyone, @here, or staff roles without permission. |
| No Griefing in Protected Regions | Destroying or altering builds and resources is not allowed in protected regions. Only members of the region have the ability to modify builds, and they cannot grief without the owner’s permission (or an authorized individual’s). If you come across a base outside of protected regions, it is considered open to raiding or destruction. Players are responsible for protecting their own builds. Please note: If your base is griefed and it was not in a protected region, you are responsible for ensuring that it is adequately protected. Failure to do so may result in your base being vulnerable to damage or destruction. Any griefing will not be rolled back by staff if the base was not properly protected. |
| No Duplication Exploits or Cheats | Do not use duplication glitches, cheats, or third-party programs to gain unfair advantages in-game. |
| No AFK Farming or Abuse of Automated Systems | Do not use AFK (away-from-keyboard) farming techniques or automation tools (e.g., bots) to gain resources or rewards while not actively playing. |
| Respect Build and Land Claims | Do not build or alter structures on land that other players have claimed, unless permitted. Respect others’ builds and territory. |
| No Alt Accounts for Evading Punishments | Using alternate accounts to bypass server punishments is strictly prohibited. All accounts associated with the offending player will be penalized. |
| Keep Player-to-Player Trades Fair | Do not coerce or manipulate players into unfair trades. All trades must be mutually agreed upon and conducted fairly. |
| Respect for Server Events and Competitions | Do not disrupt or cheat during server-hosted events, competitions, or tournaments. Respect the integrity of these activities. |
| Use of Server-Specific Features | Familiarize yourself with and use server-specific features such as custom plugins and rules as intended. Misuse may result in disciplinary action. |
| No Excessive Toxicity or Negative Behavior | Avoid excessively toxic behavior, insults, or disruptive negativity. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward all players. |
| Respect for Staff and Volunteers | Staff and volunteers are here to help the community. Treat them with respect, and do not argue with their decisions in public chat. |
| Proper Use of Server Commands | Use commands properly as intended. Do not spam or misuse commands in a way that disrupts gameplay or other players. |
Artisan Rank & Creative Mode Rules
The Artisan rank is a building and creative tool, not a gameplay advantage. Players granted this rank are expected to use it responsibly and in accordance with these specific rules.
| Rule | Description |
|---|---|
| No Creative Mode in Faction Territory | Players in CREATIVE mode are strictly prohibited from placing or breaking any blocks in faction-claimed territory. This includes, but is not limited to: building, modifying, or destroying structures, terrain, or any other blocks within a faction’s claimed land. |
| No Scouting or Harassment | Players in Creative mode may not use flight to scout, spy on, or harass members of other factions. This includes flying over bases, following players, or gathering intelligence on behalf of a faction. |
| Building for Others | Artisan players may build for themselves or for community projects, but must not build fortifications, defenses, or strategic structures for other factions or players. |
| Protected Regions | Creative mode players must respect all WorldGuard protected regions and spawn areas. These areas are off-limits for any building or modification. |
| Staff Enforcement | Staff members (Sentinel and above) are authorized to monitor Creative mode players. Any violations of these rules will result in disciplinary action, which may include the immediate revocation of the Artisan rank. |

Subsequent Offenses
Repeated violations on any platform will result in escalating consequences. For example, a Tier 3 offense on
Discord after a Minecraft ban may result in a Tier 2 penalty.
Cross-Platform Offenses
- Tier 1: Using Discord to coordinate cheating on our Minecraft server.
- Tier 2: Evading a Minecraft ban by discussing the offense in Discord.
- Tier 3: Minor rule-breaking in Discord after a prior warning on Minecraft.
Undocumented Offenses
While this list provides clear guidelines, players may still be penalized for unlisted offenses. Staff will consider
the severity and intent of the behavior when enforcing rules, including cross-platform violations like
coordinating raids via Discord DMs.
Final Note
Our Discord server is an extension of our gaming community. Treat it with the same respect as our game server.
Use common sense, and remember: these rules apply to all text/voice channels, DMs, and server-related groups.
By playing on JeriCraft, you also agree to abide by the overarching terms set by our platform providers:
- Mojang Studios End User License Agreement (EULA)
- Microsoft Terms of Service
- Discord Terms of Service
Violations of these external terms (such as account sharing that leads to a ban, or using cheated clients) may result in the same disciplinary actions outlined in our tiered system.
