Common Rules

These rules apply everywhere on JeriCraft: the Minecraft server, the Discord server, DMs, and any server-related group.

Conduct and Respect

Rule Description
No Offensive Content Keep language, usernames, skins, profile pictures, images, memes, and roleplay free of offensive or inappropriate themes, in-game and on Discord.
No Harassment, Trolling or Toxicity Do not harass, threaten, troll, insult, or intentionally upset others on any platform. Stay positive and respectful, even when you disagree.
No Discrimination Do not promote hatred or discrimination against any person or group through language, usernames, skins, or actions.
No Impersonation Do not pose as another player, a staff member, or JeriCraft itself. This includes usernames, bot identities, Discord server names, and fake servers.
Respect Staff Follow staff instructions in-game, on Discord, and during events, and treat staff and volunteers with respect. If you disagree with a decision, raise it privately with staff instead of arguing in public chat. Bans can be contested through the ban appeal form.
Avoid Controversial Topics Keep drama, politics, and religion out of public chats and Discord channels.

Chat and Discord

Rule Description
No Spam or Advertising Do not flood chat, post irrelevant messages, advertise, share Discord invite links, or send unsolicited content or DMs.
Respect @mentions Do not abuse @everyone, @here, or staff role pings without permission.
Use Channels Properly Keep conversations relevant to each channel’s purpose (e.g., no off-topic discussions in #bug-reports).
Voice Chat Etiquette Avoid loud noises, background music, soundboard spam, and mic spam in voice channels.
No Bypassing Filters Do not circumvent chat filters, in-game or on Discord.

Privacy and Safety

Rule Description
Protect Personal Information Do not share other people’s personal information (real names, addresses, photos, accounts) without their consent, and do not pry into their privacy through DMs or Discord. Think twice before sharing your own.
No Malicious Activity Do not distribute malware or harmful links, take part in raids on our Discord, or deliberately attack or sabotage our servers (e.g., DDoS or crash exploits).
No NSFW Content Do not post explicit material, including text, images, or links.

Fair Play

Rule Description
No Cheating Do not use hacked clients, x-ray tools, or any other third-party program or device to gain an unfair advantage. If you are unsure whether a mod is allowed, ask staff first.
No Duplication Do not duplicate items or currency by any method.
No Exploiting Bugs Play as intended. Do not take advantage of bugs or glitches for gain; report them to staff (e.g., in #bug-reports) instead.
No AFK Farming Do not use AFK (away-from-keyboard) farming techniques or automation tools such as bots and macros to gain resources, money, or rewards while not actively playing.
Protect Server Performance Do not cause lag or performance problems for others, for example with lag machines or excessive entity and redstone contraptions. Lavacasting (using lava and water to generate massive stone or obsidian structures) is prohibited outright.
Use Commands and Features as Intended Use commands, plugins, Discord bots, and other server-specific features as intended. Do not spam or misuse them in ways that disrupt gameplay or other players.
Respect Events Do not disrupt server-hosted events, competitions, or tournaments.

Builds, Land and Trading

Rule Description
Respect Protected Regions and Claims Do not build, break, or alter anything in protected regions (including spawn) or on land claimed by other players or factions unless the owner or staff permit it, or the server’s faction mechanics allow it.
Protect Your Own Builds Anything outside a protected region or claim is open to raiding and destruction. You are responsible for protecting your own builds, and staff will not roll back damage to unprotected builds.
Create Warps Responsibly Warps may only be created in the Survival world, and never inside faction territory you do not own or belong to. Breaking this rule may result in the warp being removed and/or your warp commands being revoked.
Deal Honestly Be honest in all trades and dealings. Do not scam, coerce, or manipulate players into unfair trades, beg for in-game items, or misuse Discord giveaways. Every trade must be mutually agreed.

Accounts

Rule Description
No Evading Punishments Do not use alternate accounts to bypass bans, mutes, or other punishments. All accounts associated with the offender will be penalized.
No Account Sharing Do not share your account with anyone. You are responsible for everything done on it.

Artisan Rank and Creative Mode Rules

The Artisan rank is a building and creative tool, not a gameplay advantage. Players granted this rank must follow every Common Rule (including Protected Regions and Claims) plus the rules below.

Rule Description
No Creative Mode in Faction Territory Players in CREATIVE mode may not place or break any blocks in faction-claimed territory. This includes building, modifying, or destroying structures, terrain, or any other blocks within a faction’s claimed land.
No Scouting Do not use flight to scout, spy on, or follow members of other factions, or to gather intelligence on behalf of a faction. This includes flying over bases.
Building for Others Artisan players may build for themselves or for community projects, but must not build fortifications, defenses, or strategic structures for other factions or players.
Staff Enforcement Staff members (Sentinel and above) are authorized to monitor Creative mode players. Violations will result in disciplinary action, which may include immediate revocation of the Artisan rank.

Tiered Punishment System

To ensure fairness, we use a tiered punishment system. Consequences are determined by the severity of the offense
and are at the discretion of the issuing staff member. Tiers describe how serious a breach is; the rules themselves are
listed once, in Common Rules above.

Tier 1: Severe Offenses - Permanent Ban

Offense Includes
Cheating and Duplication Hacked clients, unauthorized third-party tools, bots or macros, or duplicating items or currency.
Scamming and Deception Scamming or deceiving players in a way that harms them.
Impersonation Posing as a player, staff member, or JeriCraft, including creating or joining servers to do so.
Discrimination Promoting hatred or discrimination through language or actions.
Threats and Targeted Harassment Making threats or targeting players for harassment, on any platform or server.
Privacy Violations Sharing personal information without consent.
Malicious Activity Distributing malware or harmful links, Discord raids, or deliberately attacking our servers.
NSFW Content Distributing NSFW content, including memes and images on Discord.

Tier 2: Moderate Offenses - 1 to 2-Week Ban

Offense Includes
Griefing Damaging, altering, or building in protected regions or claims without permission.
Exploiting Bugs and Glitches Taking advantage of in-game bugs or glitches for unfair gains.
Ban Evasion and Account Sharing Using alternate accounts to bypass punishments, or sharing accounts.
Inappropriate Content Offensive skins, usernames, profile pictures, memes, or images.
Abusive Communication Insults, disrespect, or abusive language aimed at other people.
Trolling and Toxicity Trolling, baiting, or persistent negativity.
Ignoring Staff Disregarding or disrespecting staff instructions.
Misuse of Features Misusing commands, bots, or Discord features to disrupt others (e.g., reaction spam).

Tier 3: Minor Offenses - Up to 1-Week Ban

Offense Includes
Spam and Unwanted Communication Spam, ads, invite links, @mention abuse, or unsolicited DMs.
Offensive Language Mild swearing or slang that could offend, not aimed at anyone in particular.
Inappropriate Conversations Offensive roleplay, inappropriate topics, or controversial topics such as drama, politics, and religion.
Off-Topic Discussions Excessive off-topic messages or derailing conversations.
Voice Chat Etiquette Mic or voice channel misuse (e.g., accidental soundboard spam).

Subsequent Offenses

Repeated violations on any platform will result in escalating consequences. For example, a Tier 3 offense on
Discord after a Minecraft ban may result in a Tier 2 penalty.

Cross-Platform Offenses

Some offenses span both platforms:

Minor rule-breaking on one platform after a warning on the other is treated as a repeat offense (see Subsequent Offenses).

Undocumented Offenses

While this list provides clear guidelines, players may still be penalized for unlisted offenses, and for rules above
that have no fixed tier (such as Bypassing Filters, Warp Creation, or AFK Farming). Staff will consider the severity
and intent
of the behavior. Rule-specific measures, such as removing a warp or revoking the Artisan rank, may be applied
in addition to a tiered penalty.

Final Note

Our Discord server is an extension of our gaming community. Treat it with the same respect as our game server, and use common sense.

By playing on JeriCraft, you also agree to abide by the overarching terms set by our platform providers:

Violations of these external terms may result in the same disciplinary actions outlined in our tiered system.
